Originally known as "Doppler 50k," we were granted permission to continue this pre-Thanksgiving fatass tradition.  The name was updated, and the course was modified so more people could participate in shorter distances if they wanted. 

In Doppler tradition, the race is held the weekend prior to Thanksgiving each year, and is FREE for all.  We ask for runners to please bring a donation (or several) for the Bremerton Foodline. 

We typically have a small canopy and firepit set up at the Gold Creek Trailhead, and a sign-in sheet for runners to keep track of their loops.  Feel free to bring a food donation for the community aid station.  We usually have some hot veggie soup and broth available too.

The course is a 5-mile loop, starting and finishing at the Gold Creek Trailhead (Green Mountain State Forest in Bremerton) . The route follows the TIn Mine and Davis trails.  Runners may complete this loop in either direction.  While the event starts at 7AM and finishes at 7PM....runners can show up anytime and run their laps.
